CARMELITE SMALL FLOWER OPAQUE AND CLEAR : 100g. It contains Carmelite Water, angelica seed essential oil and cinnamon essential oil. It has a unique fragrance of lemon balm, lemon rind, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, coriander and angelica.  The earliest known reference is for a “Carmelite Water” made in the Carmelite Monastery in 1372.  It is essentially a spice aroma and as spices were very expensive in those days, it fits with those times and was made as a present for the then king.  Carmelite Water is classed as one of the old Historical Waters and as such deserves a place in the modern world to keep the tradition alive.  Carmelite Water is also known as Klosterfrau Melissengeist in Germany where it is drunk as a tonic.Angelica seed essential oil has been used instead of angelica root essential oil as a safety measure, as angelica root can sometimes cause problems with photosensitivity (very highly unlikely).

It is a unique soap and makes an ideal gift (especially for a man as it is not floral).

Available in clear and opaque for £5.50 each.

EAU DE COLOGNE SUNFLOWER OPAQUE AND CLEAR: 100g. The recipe dates from 1709 and it contains Eau de Cologne mint water, lemon and orange essential oil.  It means “Cologne Water” and was invented by Giovanni Maria Farina of Cologne.  It always contains some kind of citrus blend which can vary. The original recipe invented by Farina remains a secret, but Roger and Gallet eventually bought another recipe from the Farina family for Eau de Cologne which is still made today.

Available in clear and opaque for £3.00 each.
